Thank you to everyone who supported me in the General Election.
This election saw a surge in support for the Liberal Democrats, both locally and nationally. For this area the result was:
Conservative 24725 votes
Labour 12474 votes
Liberal Democrat 10320 votes
This shows a 4% increase in our share of the vote. The Conservatives made no increase at all, while Labour lost 6% of their share.
The campaign goes on and in four years time we will be the main challengers locally and an alternative government nationally.
